chessmade is run by a small team of two — a woodworker and a designer who fell in love with the same idea: that a memorable game deserves a memorable object.

No factories. No outsourcing. Every piece is cut, sanded, engraved, oiled and packed in our workshop. As we grow, we grow carefully — only bringing on people who share our standards.
